Request to Hire
The Request to Hire module lets a church submit a formal hiring request to the district for an associate minister. The request goes through a review process where the district approves or denies it. Denied requests can be corrected and resubmitted when the district indicates a revision is welcome.
The Request to Hire form is on the Request to Hire tab. Fill in all required fields and click Submit Request. The form is organized into the following sections:
Employment Type
- Full Time — 30 or more hours per week, with at least 51% of the associate's income coming from this position.
- Part Time — fewer than 30 hours per week, or less than 51% of income.
Associate Information
- First and Last Name — Required.
- Ministry Title — Required. The position the associate will hold.
- Assignment Start Date — Required.
Address and Contact
- Street address, city, state, postal code, and phone are all required.
Credential
- Select the associate's ministerial credential: Ordained Elder, Ordained Deacon, or Licensed Minister.
Family Information
- Spouse's Name — Required. Enter N/A if none.
- Names of Children at Home — Optional.
Background Check
- Indicate whether a background check has been completed. Optionally upload the results as a PDF, JPG, or PNG file (maximum 3 MB).
Compensation
- Optional fields for monthly cash salary, housing allowance, and benefits (Social Security, health insurance, etc.).
- Additional Information — Optional text field for any other relevant details.
The Request History tab shows all requests submitted by this church, from newest to oldest. Each request displays the associate's name, ministry position, start date, the date the request was submitted, and the current status.
- Requested — The request has been submitted and is waiting for the district to respond.
- Approved — The district has approved the request.
- Denied — The district has denied the request. A reason for the denial is shown in the Notes column when provided.
When the district denies a request and indicates that a corrected resubmission is welcome, an Edit button appears next to that request in the history table. Click Edit to open the Request to Hire tab with the form pre-populated with the previous submission's data.
Make the necessary corrections and click Re-Submit. This replaces the previous request with the corrected version, which resets the status to Requested and clears the denial reason.
If the district denied the request without allowing resubmission, the Edit button will not appear and a new submission will be needed instead.
